~ 敵を愛しなさい ~
「しかし、わたしの言葉を聞いているあなたがたに言っておく。敵を愛し、あなたがたを憎む者に親切にしなさい。 悪口を言う者に祝福を祈り、あなたがたを侮辱する者のために祈りなさい。 あなたの頬を打つ者には、もう一方の頬をも向けなさい。上着を奪い取る者には、下着をも拒んではならない。 求める者には、だれにでも与えなさい。あなたの持ち物を奪う者から取り返そうとしてはならない。 人にしてもらいたいと思うことを、人にもしなさい。 自分を愛してくれる人を愛したところで、あなたがたにどんな恵みがあろうか。罪人でも、愛してくれる人を愛している。 また、自分によくしてくれる人に善いことをしたところで、どんな恵みがあろうか。罪人でも同じことをしている。 返してもらうことを当てにして貸したところで、どんな恵みがあろうか。罪人さえ、同じものを返してもらおうとして、罪人に貸すのである。 しかし、あなたがたは敵を愛しなさい。人に善いことをし、何も当てにしないで貸しなさい。そうすれば、たくさんの報いがあり、いと高き方の子となる。いと高き方は、恩を知らない者にも悪人にも、情け深いからである。 あなたがたの父が憐れみ深いように、あなたがたも憐れみ深い者となりなさい。」
ロシアウクライナ間、またイスラエルでも戦争が激化している。このようなとき、私達は主イエス・キリストの教えを学びなおす必要があると言えよう。
Love your enemies.
'But I say to you who hear my words. Love your enemies and be kind to those who hate you. Pray for blessings on those who speak evil of you, and pray for those who insult you. To him who strikes you on the cheek, turn the other cheek also. To him who takes away your coat, do not refuse him your underwear. To whosoever asketh, give to him; and to whosoever seeketh, give to him. Do not seek to take back your possessions from those who take them from you. Do to others what you would have them do to you. What good will it do you if you love those who love you? Even sinners love those who love them. And what grace is there in doing good to those who do good to you? Even sinners do the same thing. What grace is there in lending money with the expectation that it will be returned? Even sinners lend to sinners in the hope of receiving the same thing back. But love your enemies. Do good to others and lend without counting on anything. Then you will receive many rewards, and you will be sons of the Most High. For the Most High is merciful to the ungrateful and to the wicked. Be ye merciful, as your Father is merciful."
War is raging between Russia and Ukraine and also in Israel. At such times, we need to relearn the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ.
